At Balance2perform, we offer an in-depth iliopsoas syndrome course designed to equip practitioners with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills.
The course delves into the complex muscle, the m. iliopsoas, focusing not only on its anatomical structure and functions, but also its clinical importance and influence on posture and movement.
Iliopsoas syndrome encompasses various conditions affecting the inner hip muscle, primarily caused by overuse injuries. It is particularly relevant for athletes such as gymnasts, dancers, runners and football players who repeatedly perform hip flexion movements.
During the course, you will gain comprehensive insight into the symptoms of iliopsoas syndrome, differential diagnoses, examination methods and effective treatment methods.
You will learn to differentiate between bilateral and unilateral iliopsoas syndrome, mucosal inflammation, tendinopathy and the connection between the diaphragm and iliopsoas, including the psychological aspect of the muscle.
Treatment methods include muscle energy techniques, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy, acupuncture, kinesiology tape and auriculotherapy, as well as effective stretching exercises and home exercises that patients can use with guidance.
